In good company

While doing some Memorial Day inspired genealogy research, I found out that a great uncle who died at the Battle of the Bulge is buried in the same cemetery as General Patton:

Francis J. Masce
Private First Class, U.S. Army
Service # 11045715
301st Engineer Combat Battalion, 76th Infantry Division
Entered the Service from: Massachusetts
Died: 8-Feb-45
Buried at: Plot E Row 10 Grave 3
Luxembourg American Cemetery
Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Awards: Purple Heart

It's just so eerie to see that information.  Just reading it makes me feel some kind of connection to him, even though I don't know much about him other than he died for his family's adopted country (his parents - my great-grandparents - immigrated to the U.S. from Italy) and this is probably as much as I'll ever learn about him.

Rest in peace, Uncle Francis.

I found him by searching here.

A grateful thank you to our military past and present, today and every day.

Promo pecking order

These popped up on my television list on Twitter, just like this, one right after the other:

Psych WC Tweets

I love how they each give their own shows first billing, but Shawn and Gus definitely have seniority over Neal and Peter here.

You have questions, he has answers

Tom Wilson (forever to be known as Biff from the Back to the Future series) pokes fun at himself and answers every question you ever wanted to ask him.  This is hilarious:
