Christmas post: Record-setting teddy bear toss!!!

A lot of junior and minor league teams do the teddy bear toss during the holidays and it's always awesome. But the other day the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL and their fans set a new record by tossing a mind-boggling 28,815 bears to the ice after Jordy Stallard potted the Hitmen's first goal of the game. That's a lot of teddy bears getting new homes. Props to the Hitmen and their fans.

"The bears are flying!!!"

Love love love the players jumping into the piles of bears.

Since the inception of the teddy bear toss in the mid-nineties, almost 300,000 teddies have hit the ice!
