Where did John Lennon say this? What is the source?
I honestly believe that the only way we are going to get ourselves out of the messes we've created for ourselves is to find strong and independent leaders. It's going to take a revolution. Electing someone that isn't a politician is the only way. Perhaps a businessman. --John Lennon
Sorry I took so long to respond - just had my first author appearance/reading Saturday and a writers conference the week before, so I'm just now cleaning out my emails from the past couple weeks.
I get most of the quotes from the internet (usually posted on social media pages), but since you asked I researched it and it looks like it's probably a bogus quote, so I'm going to remove it from the post.
I liked the quote because my father was a successful businessman and I always thought he'd be a great president because he was ethical, didn't play games and didn't take any shit from anyone. Interestingly, that's also why he would never want the job - having to deal with all that crap.
Thank you for reading!
Melinda
