Before and after pics of Hollywood

I love looking at pictures of historic Hollywood and Los Angeles. If anyone ever invents time travel, forget the future. I'm going back to old Hollywood.

I have this really great coffee table book called The Story of Hollywood: An Illustrated History. It's a beautiful book with hundreds of pictures of period buildings, and after almost every caption, in parentheses, is the word "demolished".

From Curbed L.A. comes before and after pictures of Hollywood. Each shows a historic building alongside what currently stands there. It's almost impossible to imagine how rural and beautiful it was back then. Yeah, I need a time travel machine.
